Opening an Account
Customers are subject to an Account Set-up Charge when a new account is opened. Currently, the charge is $15.75 per service and is approved by our Regulator, The Ontario Energy Board. The total to set up an account can range from $15.75 to $63.00, if all services are required.
A Security Deposit is required to be paid unless you meet certain requirements to have the deposit waived. A minimum of 25% of the deposit is applied to your account on the date you have requested service to begin. Three additional installments of 25% each will be billed at 30 day intervals until full deposit has been billed.

Closing an Account
Submit an account closure request online or by phone. You will need your Utilities Kingston account number, identification and your forwarding address. Tenants must provide landlord contact information.
