About Vents
Utilities Kingston Water Heaters can be divided into four main categories, Conventional Vent, Direct Vent, Power Vent and Electric.
Standard Vent
- Vents to the outside through a lined chimney in the home - therefore a chimney is required
- No electricity required
- Minimal operating noise
Direct Vent
- Vents directly to the outside through a double wall vent system
- No chimney required
- No electricity required
- Minimal operating noise
Power Vent
- Vents to the outside through an outside wall
- No chimney required
- Requires electricity to operate
- Higher operating noise
