Electricity Retrofit Incentive Program
The Ontario Power Authority (OPA) in cooperation with Kingston Hydro,
are assisting Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional and Agricultural customers
to conserve energy.
The Electricity Retrofit Incentive Program appreciates that when a business is making
choices between different equipment options the desired choice is for the most efficient
solution, but for financing reason or timing reasons other choices may be made. We would
like to influence the decision in favour of the most electricity efficient ones.
The Electricity Retrofit Incentive Program focuses on the areas of lighting, motors,
heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and the overall electricity systems.
This is a limited time offer and applications are accepted on a first come, first served
basis.
-
Project application deadline December 31, 2010.
-
Eligible projects must be completed prior to December 1, 2011.

Please note that if you are a tenant, you must obtain permission from
the property owner for installation of the measures for which an incentive is claimed.
Incentives will be available for pre-approved projects that result in measurable
reductions in electrical peak demand.
These projects may be completed using energy efficient technologies prescribed by the
program or may be based on innovative custom initiatives.
Incentives are offered for pre-approved technologies on a per unit basis. For additional
