Are you renovating and want to relocate your electrical service connection point and/or increase the size of your existing electrical service? Are you building a new home? You need to initiate a request for a new or changed electrical service connection.

Effective immediately, Utilities Kingston is asking that all requests for service be submitted on either the "New Service and Service Change Request Form" or the "Removal of Service Request Form." Utilities Kingston staff requires that the standard forms be completed and submitted prior to discussing the request in any detail.

To enable us to meet your construction schedule, the request should be initiated in the planning stages of construction.

Following are some examples of activities that require forms to be completed by the customer and/or the customer's contractor:

  • New services
  • Changes to existing services
  • Upgrade service - Amps
  • Change to service location
  • Change to pole/conduit cable
  • Add / delete / change / relocate metering
  • Disconnect / Reconnect
  • Removal of service
  • Rubber cover

The standard forms are to be completed in full, including the signature of the customer authorizing the work, and submitted by fax to the number indicated on the form, or mailed to Utilities Kingston, Attention "Customer Technical Contacts".
