CITY ANNOUNCES LAWN WATERING RESTRICTIONS FOR KINGSTON WEST

City of Kingston water treatment manager Kevin Riley has a message for people living in Kingston West: DO NOT WATER YOUR LAWN.

Effective immediately, there is a lawn-watering ban in effect for Kingston West - the lawn watering ban comes as a result of low water pressure and dry weather conditions, says Riley.

We are strongly encouraging residents not to water their lawn in Kingston West until further notice. Breaching the bylaw can result in fines to the homeowner so we ask for their co-operation in this matter, he added.

Riley was unable to say at this time whether the lawn-watering ban would be extended to Kingston East and City Central.
