RAILWAY STREET GAS LEAK REPAIRED

Utilities Kingston would like to inform its customers that the gas leak on Railway Street has been repaired.

The problem was fixed by late Thursday afternoon.

While working on the high pressure gas pipeline in the area of the regulator station on Railway Street, an equipment failure resulted in a small leak on the high pressure natural gas system.

The situation was monitored constantly until repairs were finalized.

It should be noted that natural gas is one of the safest, most-dependable sources of energy used today.

We apologize to our customers, the public and businesses in the area for the inconvenience and we thank them for their patience while we repaired the leak.
