The City is lifting the boil water advisory that was issued August 15th for Kingston West residents north of Taylor Kidd Blvd.
The City has received confirmation that of the 43 samples submitted for testing, there is no problem with the water and therefore the boil water
advisory is no longer necessary.
The boil water advisory was issued as a precautionary measure only due to low pressure in the system caused by the power outage.
The City and the Province remain in a State of Emergency. And will continue to do so until further notice.
The Municipal Control Group will meet at 0800 hours on August 17th and will provide any further updates following this meeting.
Residents may continue to contact the Citizen Inquiry Centre at 384-1954 for the latest information on the emergency situation. The Centre will be
staffed until 2300 hours tonight and will reopen at 0700 hours August 17th.
