LEARN ABOUT PROPOSED HARMONIZED WATER, SEWER RATES

The proposed move, from an area-based to a harmonized system of setting Utilities Kingston water and sewer rates, is the topic of two upcoming public information-sharing sessions.

The first session is set to take place 6 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 30 at the municipal building at 1425 Midland Ave. The second session will be from 6 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 21 at Memorial Hall in City Hall, 216 Ontario St.

At both sessions Utilities Kingston will provide information on the water master plan, proposed (and past) capital works and financing, and conservation. Questionnaires, soliciting public input, will be passed out at the sessions. The second session will also offer an opportunity for attendees to deliver their comments in a public forum.
