Utilities Kingston is scheduling a number of upcoming power outages that will affect the
downtown area in the next couple of weeks, including:

Two 10-minute outages are planned between 5 and 6 a.m. on June 6 to allow Utilities
Kingston to repair a faulted cable. The first will affect those on: Queen Street from King
Street to Clergy Street East; King Street from Queen Street to Princess Street; and
Princess Street from King Street to Division Street. The second will affect those in the
area bordered by Queen, King, Johnson and Bagot Streets.
-
A second set of 10-minute outages is planned between 5 and 6 a.m. on Tuesday, June 10 to
complete the work described above and will affect the same areas.
-

Starting at 11 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, the power will be out for approximately eight hours
on Clarence and Market Streets from Ontario to King Street; on Johnson Street from
Wellington to Ontario Street and on King Street from Market to Johnson Streets. This
outage will allow Utilities Kingston to make a number of coordinated repairs to: an
underground cable at King and Queen Streets, a leaking splice at Princess and King Streets
and an abnormally hot oil switch at Clarence and King Streets.
-
Two half-hour outages are planned for overnight on Sunday, June 15, to Monday, June 16, to
allow Utilities Kingston to isolate the service at 120 Clarence St. for preventative
maintenance. The first outage is planned for 1 a.m. and the second is planned for 4 a.m.
Both will affect residents in the area bordered by King, Queen, Bagot and Clarence Streets.
