WATER SAVINGS NEEDED
DURING WATERMAIN REPAIRS

RESIDENTS ASKED TO REDUCE WATER USAGE
DURING REPAIRS SUNDAY

Utilities Kingston is advising residents on the municipal water system in Kingston East (homes east of the Little Cataraqui Creek) to reduce their water usage today while crews work to repair a watermain break.

An early break in the watermain in the City's east end placed a significant strain on the treated water system and supply.

Utilities Kingston has since rerouted the water distribution system around the area of the break, but east-end residents are asked to continue to reduce their water use for the rest of the day.

Officials say residents in the area may also notice reduced water pressure while repairs are underway.
