Project Commencement Notice:
Sewer Investigations & Rehabilitation

Details:

In response to flooding problems resulting from heavy rains in the fall of 2006, Utilities Kingston has initiated an investigation and rehabilitation contract to reduce extraneous flows in the sanitary sewer system. Utilities Kingston has contracted the services of a team led by D.M. Robichaud Associates Ltd. to undertake the work. Work will include a variety of inspections (commencing immediately) and mostly 'trenchless' rehabilitation/repairs to the sewer system.

In 2008, areas of focus include portions of the Strathcona Park, Calvin Park, and Polson Park neigbourhoods as well as within the Palace Road area. The majority of works will not affect homeowners or cause any disruption to service. Homeowners within focused areas of investigation and rehabilitation efforts will receive direct advanced notification of works that may affect them.

For additional information, please contact Mike Fischer, P.Eng., Utilities Engineer, Tel: 613-546-1181, ext. 2356
