About FibreWired Kingston

FibreWired Kingston is operated by Utilities Kingston. The only shareholder for Utilities Kingston is Kingston Electric Distribution Limited, which in turn is wholly owned by the City of Kingston. Utilities Kingston has been providing electricity, water, and gas service for nearly a century. We've provided these services reliably and affordably all of this time. Our revenue is about $100 million per year. We reinvest approximately $20 million in local capital infrastructure and pay roughly $1 million in property taxes every year. We employ over 100 people.

FibreWired Kingston delivers a wide range of telecommunications options Including: Internet access to most of the largest carriers in Canada, Local Area Network (LAN) extension services, Virtual Private Network (VPN) services, Private Virtual Circuits (PVCs) between multiple sites, and Voice over IP (VoIP) Service.

When you choose a FibreWired connection in Kingston we offer long distance and Internet services through our Vendor Partner, AT&T Canada. Soon, you will be able to choose from any interexchange carrier you want: AT&T, 360Networks, Sprint, Telus, Hydro-One Telecom, or Bell. We will be connecting to all of them.
